DECEMBER 21, 2020 | GUIDANCE - MESSAGE– DELIVERY OF HEALTH SERVICES VERSUS PERSONAL SERVICES

The latest restrictions in Appendix A of CMOH Order 42-2020 set out that any business or entity offering either a personal service (as defined in the Personal Services Regulation) or wellness service must be closed to the public at this time of public health state of emergency. These restrictions are meant to extend to regulated health professionals and would include commercial settings, home-based settings and mobile operations. While personal service provision is not permitted, retail space in personal service clinics can be open to a maximum of 15% of fire code capacity to allow for the sale of retail goods (i.e. cosmetic products, devices).

There are no restrictions on the delivery of a health service.
