CRPNA Entry Level Competencies for RPNs

December 2014 CRPNA adopted the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Regulators of Canada's (RPNRC) new National "Registered Psychiatric Nurse Entry Level Competencies "  for RPNs in Alberta.  This document replaces all previous documents used to describe the Entry Level Competencies for Registered Psychiatric Nurses in Alberta.

This document identifies the entry level competencies that the average, beginning RPN requires for safe, competent and ethical practice.  The entry level competencies increase public and employer awareness of the practice expectations of entry level RPNs.
